Simon Tate – Producer/Director/Writer

Simon has written four films that have been sold into development deals. He is an award winning director and producer of TV commercials, television and films for companies with a track record in the industry spanning well over a decade in England and North America.

Recently Simon directed a series of cinema adverts for the Rugby Football Union that ran nationally in cinemas.

This is the first feature film that Simon has produced and directed.

"I know with the right support we can get the local area seen as a centre for indigenous production and for growing talent in the UK . . . I've seen it happen first hand in North America."

David Francis – Producer/Director of Photography

David has spent the last five years working in London on several television and advertising projects. He recently directed a range of documentaries about the British prison system, a series of drama pilots for Sony and an advert starring David Beckham.

He has now returned to Herefordshire where he was raised and educated, to help develop the media community. This is his first feature film project.

"The media is such a hard industry for anyone to break into. If there'd been a filmmaking community in Herefordshire when I was growing up it would have been so much easier to gain that essential production experience. The Point of Regret will be a showcase for the depth of young talent we have in the local area, and, just as importantly, it'll be a bloody good film too."

Penny Westley – Co Producer

Penny grew up in Worcester and is widely experienced in getting community led projects off the ground. She brings extensive project management experience and relentless determination to the project.

"I'm involved because this is something exciting that is going to benefit the local community. This is a huge opportunity for the area and I believe that the support is there to make it happen."
